People should be able to see:
roads completed
bridges built
water supply projects
schools upgraded
health centres improved
acquittal reports submitted by Markham DDA
That is where transparency and accountability matter most.

Markham District people are no longer satisfied with development written on paper alone.
When electricity projects are announced, the public deserves clear planning, transparent budgets, progress tracking, acquittal reports, and verified completion on the ground.
Completion means homes connected, schools powered, health centres operating, and communities seeing actual light — not just released funds or speeches.
If rural electrification is truly progressing across Umi, Atzera, Leron-Wantoat, and Onga-Waffa, then show the evidence publicly.
No light = unfinished development.

Very interesting indeed.
Thank you. 🙏
The Markham District Development Authority 2023–2027 Development Plan outlines intended priorities and proposed projects.
But when it comes to ELECTRICITY, people are no longer asking for promises alone.
They are asking for proof.
ELECTRICITY — PEOPLE WANT ANSWERS
Light mas go yet.
1. Planning?
Where is the clear electrification rollout map for:
Umi
Atzera
Leron-Wantoat
Onga-Waffa
Which communities were prioritized first?
What budget was allocated?
Who are the contractors?
What timelines were approved?
2. Progress Tracking?
Development is not measured by speeches.
People want:
project updates,
acquittal reports,
inspection reports,
photos,
contractor performance,
completed power connections,
and functioning transformers on the ground.
If electricity expansion is progressing: show the evidence publicly.
3. Project Completion?
A project is not “completed” because funds were released.
Completion means:
homes connected,
schools powered,
health centres operating electricity 24/7,
businesses benefiting,
and communities seeing actual light.
No light = unfinished development.
PUBLIC LEARNING
A Development Plan is a planning document.
It is NOT automatic proof that projects were fully delivered.
Citizens have the right to ask:
What was promised?
What was funded?
What was started?
What was completed?
What failed?
And why?
That is accountability — not politics.
SHARPENED STATEMENT
“Markham District people are no longer satisfied with development written on paper alone. The real test of development is visible impact on the ground.
When electricity projects are announced, the public deserves transparent planning, proper progress tracking, and verified project completion reports.
If rural electrification expansion is truly progressing across Markham District, then present the evidence openly to the people.
Without transparency, acquittals, and visible service delivery, public concerns about lip service, greylisting, and corrupt practices will continue to grow.”
