Alotau District has stepped in to address ongoing medicine shortages by procuring K370,000 worth of basic drugs and essential health equipment for its health centers.

Salamo Health Centre work is progressing under DDA funding ....under the new leadership of Hon. MALADINA has committed during election of 2022 that he will upgrade major health facilities in Esa'ala District. 

The Esa’ala District Administration is pleased to announce the successful submission of acquittals to the Department of Implementation and Rural Development (DIRD).

Work has begun on the next Digicel tower restoration to service the people of the West Fergusson “back page”.

After Esa’ala District Development Authority made a payment of K1.6M to Digicel, our office met with the technical team to begin the planning the implementation stages of the tower.

We’re excited to announce that Esa’ala Station is now operating on solar energy.

The EDDA is working hard to ensure we stimulate our District economy by giving our farmers and SME’s access to the large markets (Lae and Port Moresby)

Work is also beginning on the first of 10x2 storey dormitories The EDDA is making a great effort to ensure this build is completed and ready for year 2026. 

Second batch of 2025 Pharmaceuticals Delivered successfully to all 9 health facilities throughout Esa’ala District. Fully funded by the DSIP in collaboration with the MBPHA.
